It’s once again Father’s Day.
It has now been more then eleven years.
I wish you would have chosen to stay.
Even now my eyes fill with tears.
You just left your family behind.
I truly will never understand why.
Though I have found a peace of mind.
I will always cry and cry.
Though you would be so proud of me daddy.
Did you see me get through college?
I know you would be so happy.
It felt like it but it was not a mirage.
Even though I still have far to go.
I have so much more to pursue.
You love me dearly and that I know.
Even in hard times I know that love will get me through.
I love you so dearly my father.
I know... truly know I will be okay.
